Overpass 2 Announced

Overpass 2 in VR?! Heck yes! With the new developer switching from the KT engine over to Unreal 5, this means we will be able to apply Praydog's soon to be released mod that lets us easily play any Unreal engine game in VR.

That new developer is Neopica with 1 racing game under their belt. FIA European Truck Racing Championship. I haven't played it, but general reception points to it being a solid game with good racing and physics. Great wheel support too.

The first Overpass was a bit of a terrain/rock climbing sim. Pretty much a puzzle game of figuring out how to overcome the environment to get to the checkpoint. This short reveal trailer for Overpass 2 shows a much heavier focus on racing with side-by-side style UTV's. I'm all for this as a speed craving individual.

The particle effects above look pretty poor. Hopefully the final product cleans this up.

There is more reason to be excited for this than concerned with a proven racing game developer. Suspension and physics look to be good. Praydog's UEtoVR Mod is getting resounding praise from those who've tried it. I am nothing but excited to try this out for myself when it releases this year on October 19!
